In ME, there is no waiting period for accidents and injuries, and a 15-day waiting period for illnesses, as of January 1, 2023. Pre-existing conditions, including those where clinical signs are present prior to the effective date of the policy or during the waiting period or prior to the first exam, are excluded from coverage.
